WILL'S STORY

The Player

Will has been involved in football from the earliest age, progressing from Sunday league as a young boy through trials at Chelsea, West Ham and Tottenham. From there he signed his first contract at Gillingham, spending two seasons in the academy before moving on. After returning to grassroots football he earned a scholarship at Charlton Athletic, then took his development overseas with a stint at Rayo Vallecano in Spain. Back in England, he signed a two-year professional contract at Boreham Wood, making his professional debut at just 19 years old.

The Coach

Will began coaching during his time at Boreham Wood, and after leaving the club he knew it was the direction he wanted to go. He founded Next Level Player Development with a clear purpose: to give young players the knowledge, experience and professional edge that he had gained the hard way through his own career. He wanted to open doors that most players never get close to, and to do it properly. Building Next Level has been one of the most rewarding things he has done, not just for the players it has helped, but for the connections and community it has created.

Premier League Connections

Will has built genuine relationships with academy staff and scouts at a number of professional clubs, including Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham, Fulham and Gillingham. His father is a scout at Arsenal, giving Next Level a direct and trusted connection to the Arsenal Academy. These are not cold contacts or paid relationships. They are the product of a playing career spent at the right clubs, and a coaching reputation built on results. Players who have trained with Will have gone on to sign for Arsenal's Academy, and that track record is what makes the scouting events Next Level runs stand apart.

Coaching Philosophy

For Will, a great player is defined less by raw ability and more by their response to adversity. How does a player react when they make a mistake? Are they coachable? Are they willing to put in the work that the next level genuinely demands? Will knows what that sacrifice looks like. He has lived it. Next Level Player Development exists to help players take that next step: to become better on the pitch and more confident people off it. Whether someone is a complete beginner or an experienced player, Will's philosophy is simple: there is always something to improve.
